Week Two - It's Truly Hell.

wordcount widgets

Well, you can see the word count up there: 18,271. It looks good now, from this side, but writing it just wasn't the greatest time ever. Man, it was basically a disgusting 15 minute sprint from 11:43 to 11:58, leaving myself just enough time to update the word count on the nano site so it didn't look so disgusting (previous to the sprint, I had written a whopping 200 words). So, I wrote about a thousand words today.

I figure this - I am a little ahead of schedule, and while I know that I will probably end up falling behind this week (this week is really strange - the "honeymoon phase" is, I suppose, truly over, and now I'm having all these really grave doubts about the story, the characters, and even my ability to write that many words this coming week), but for the moment I'm still okay so I can sit around sucking my thumbs watching that gray bar catch up with me.

It is terrifying to me (especially right now, looking at it from this low point) that next week at this same time, I will need to have 28,400 words. GOD!

But, I suppose it will actually happen. Yes, it will happen. It has to happen. It will happen.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, I went to Hamilton Deli for the first time today - It was GREAT! Definitely going back there. Often.

Night night.
